| | | | I have been watching American politics since the Watergate days, I was no fan of Nixon after Kent State, Any politician is fair game, you had no problem slamming Obama, I was shocked a Black guy was elected I thought racism in the US was about done, sure was wrong on that one, When a Canadian meets an American we don't ask about politics or religion unless the American brings it up first, the only politician i ever cried over was Kennedy, I was not at school because I was sick, I was watching the procession in Dallas when he was shot , he was a hero to most Canadians because of the Cuban missile crisis, we all thought were were going to get nuked, at school we had to plan the fasted way home if the sirens went off. when the crisis was over we were overjoyed. there is nobody like him today and he wasn't perfect, no man is. |
