Even if it were an attack conducted by a little Dutch girl...
Mens rea... apparently one of the sports in the military olympics that China won?
We know what the dynamic of the spread in Wuhan was... and what the response to it was.
All they had to do to stop it spreading... to prevent the "attack" from succeeding... was to not screw it up... not lie about it... and not do what they did... which was to lie about it, and cover it up, and enable it in spreading more in result of those, and many other bad choices.
A deliberate rather than accidental origin... doesn't lessen the impact in result of the failure in responsibility ?
It doesn't make them appear any more competent... only less competent... if the origin of the virus was an attack ? All that the propaganda seems it does, to me, from a Chinese perspective... is add to the importance of the obvious problems that have been made apparent in the failure to contain it ? It only makes it more important to put more competent people in charge... if the ones you have aren't capable of managing this problem ? Not only did they fail egregiously in containing the virus when it was easily containable... they failed in very basic tasks in national defense ?
Who invited the little Dutch girl to come to China ? And how will fostering xenophobia as policy help China ?
Just imagine what would happen if they were attacked by TWO Americans ?
Of course, its laughable... leaving it a puzzle why they think it contains advantages for them.
What we see is exactly why no rational actor would ever conduct an "attack" that way... first because you could never expect or count on the opponents rank incompetence enabling it... and second, because if it did work there'd be no way to stop it from doing to you what it did to them....
If there was going to be an attack conducted... you wouldn't rationally choose to use a thing like this virus... that can't be controlled ?
It's also proving, in spreading as it has... why biological warfare generally is a truly stupid idea...
Why China thinks its a good idea... to advance the message at home that the entire power of the state can be overwhelmed... by one little Dutch girl ? I'm not sure they've thought this through very well... but that also a measure of desperation ?
They wanted to distract from their responsibility for the accidental lab release... as the quarantines are being lifted ? And that seems its working ? The problem boils down to : Be careful what you ask for, because you might get it.
The conspiracy theory that does make sense... given the facts in the functions the virus does have... that at least has the dots connect rationally... is the one about the globalists thinking there are too many people on the planet... so that "sustainability" requires a massive culling... the modern "environmental eugenicists" not being much different than those of the prior century, who didn't see a need to have a positive reason to justify their efforts ?
If that were the origin... that would mean the virus was an attack, not just on China, but on everyone on the planet... That it targets old people as selectively as it does is only another item consistent with their agenda... And, a third... stories saying that the virus appears it also attacks testicles in disproportion... so it may have an ulterior motive in altering global population over time... if those stories prove true.
And, of course, the globalists hate Trump... so they might also do desperate things only to prevent his being re-elected ?
Do I believe Bill Gates did it ?
Well, I don't have to argue much... that Gate's view is not meaningfully different than those of aristocratic classes in the past... who assume rights of ownership in asserting power over others... but it doesn't really simplify anything much... as it does no better at reducing the same set of problems... that its success would require counting on officials failing in simple tasks ?
Or. maybe betting on governments failing to contain it... wouldn't be that bad a bet ? |
