I Googled the news headlines in 2009 when Obama was elected (you said 2007 which was when the Dems were elected to Congress under Bush just before the crash sucked all the air out of the economy).

In 2007, the gop did nearly nothing to help Bush and in 2009 did everything in their power to undermine any sort of spending under Obama. In fact, the entire gop wanted spending cuts when we were in the middle of a global recession.

But here's the kicker. The press pushed their spending cut mantra just as they push spending increases under Trump.

Sure, the gop is full of dying hypocrites but the media is corrupt to the core.
