FTEL UPDATE (I figured out how to copy it)

Board: MONEY TALK
Topic: THE MICROCAPITALISTS
Subject: FTEL UPDATE

I spoke with Helen West today. Below is a summary:

Upcoming News:

- She stated that there are still a few news releases that
will be coming soon. She said that Frank has been out of
the office and would expect that when he comes back next
week that they would hopefully release the big one (my
words). This is the news I referred to in my last update
concerning a contract or a venture with a BIG NAME company.
Frankly, she seemed anxious to get the news out. Apparently,
there are at least 2 other news items which will be
released, but one may draw a LOT of interest. Hopefully,
NEXT WEEK?!

Internet Service Customer Contracts being signed:

- Apparently, they are just closing on a one year contract
to provide internet service to the 2nd largest managed
healthcare provider in the nation. I asked her if a news
release would be forthcoming concerning this. She said that
it is a possibility, although they have signed up several
established businesses for internet service contracts in the
past and have not had news releases concerning these
contracts. I got the impression that the only thing holding
them back from signing up everyone and their brother was a
lack of a bigger marketing and sales force.

Businesses signed up to FNET

- In my last update, I promised I would provide an update
as to the number of business contracts signed to date.
Well, I was pressed for time, and forgot to get a number.
I would expect that we are well over 1000 now, however I
will have to verify this information the next time I talk
with Franklin.

Financing Activity

- Apparently, there is still a lot of activity going on. No
other details given, other than they seem to be closer

Product Updates:

- Apparently, a competitor of Franklin's has been purchasing
a number of Channel Banks and she is expecting a substantial
order from this unnamed company. I believe this order is
for the plain ole channel bank (not the CYCLONE). Possible
news forthcoming...

- Testing continues to go well with the CYCLONE. It is
still in beta testing. Shipping should occur within 30
days. They anticipate this will be their best selling
product by far.

- The HURRICANE product was a little before its time. When
the HURRICANE was announced, businesses were just starting
to upgrade to 100 MPS. Now that other companies have
announced 155, interest is starting to pick up and spill
over to the HURRICANE. With the NT upgrade, they are
expecting HURRICANE sales to start to pick up. Sales have
been starting to go out on the HURRICANE..finally!

Worldcom Update:

- I actually got this info a couple a weeks ago, and didn't
know how to word it. Basically, I asked why Worldcom would
sign an agreement with Franklin. Apparently, Worldcom is
very interested in some of the services provided through
FNET. I believe the access to Gridnet was in exchange for
some of the services FNET will be offering to Gridnet.
My memory of this discussion is kind of cloudy, but DON'T
underestimate what this says about FNET.

Thats all folks! Make your own decisions!
