We need to remember Reagan's famous line which is one of the dumbest things a president has ever said.

The underlining thesis of what the pubs have been doing for the last 50 years has been working, for the rich and corporations, to get rid of government programs, so they could cut taxes more on the rich, and replace government programs like public schools, and prisons with private industry (more transfer of wealth to big business), and has resulted in a constant process of tearing our needed social programs apart.
This is all the Republicans have been doing for 50 years. What little intelligent social programming that has taken place is almost all the result of Democrats.
The pubs have had this nutso theory which they have been selling for 50 years, that private business can administer, basically, our entire society, better with capitalism than government..
And Trump is still doing that right now and it is a shit show.
The reason we are doing the worst of any nation is because we do NOT have a centralized response coordinating it. It is total chaos out there with little to no centralized organized coordination. The type of organization a strong government program could provide.
And of course Trump and the Republicans really have no idea how to even do it if they wanted to!
And Trump still will not do that. He is still trying to keep business leaders doing the response rather than a qualified government program!
Well, those Republicans who have routinely and mindlessly parroted the right wing's crazy talk are now going to cost many lives and that will be especially true in states with Republican governors and legislatures.

Food stamps will soar to all time records and the republican who whined about it a few days ago will pretend they never said anything against food stamps under Obama.
Then, instead of raising taxes to pay for their spending, they'll demand we undo Social Security and Medicare. Dems will never give them what they want because we know they can't raise taxes and pay for their spending. They're children.
