Didn't Reagan raise taxes to fix his tax cut for the rich? He raised Social Security taxes on workers which didn't touch the rich to help fund the debt he was creating from the tax cuts for the rich. He also raised taxes almost every year of his presidency but no matter how many taxes he raised he couldn't bring the deficits back to normal.
