--deliberate in weeding them out as undesirable-- seems to me that it's the conservative neoliberals (identified as 'left' by themselves, much of the right, and the corporate media) who weed out those who promote the 'left' notions that some oldsters and many youngsters align with. it's convenient for conservatives and neoliberals to throw-up the identity-politic smoke screen, as cover for popular concern about wealth inequity and all the related factors (labor rights, social programs, health care, etc.). bwdik the hill's rising show is adressing this: youtube.com
