>I did not realize that FTEL was applying for full NASDAQ. I'll check into that.

>Marv, I was wrong. I assumed that it was small-cap because that is how QGLY went about it went they moved up. Apparently, it is quicker to get a small-cap listing then the Reg NASDAQ. I made an assumption that, obviously, was wrong.
I've made a few mistakes on this board and they are embarrassing. Sorry.

<<Frank is a man of integrity, as you would know if you spoke with him, spoke
with the people who work with him and visited the expanding facility in
Westlake.>>

>I once bought stock from a con when I was eighteen. He was the nicest man and had church going friends who vouched for him. From that I learned: You can't tell a scam by the "nice" people involved in it. In fact, the best hype jobs are often pulled off by the people who seem the nicest, and most honest.

Nice and Integrity are not the same. Frank is intense, extremely knowledgeable, very focused, very directed and he has integrity. I don't consider 'nice' is a factor I'm concerned with for a CEO. How effective he is with his staff is more of a consideration than 'nice.'
VS, your editorializing the word integrity may be the way you perceive things generally. If it is, I can see that your approach to FTEL would seem logical - but it really is lacking. Sure, it is appropriate to question, but it is necessary to have adequate information. Without it, a person makes incorrect assumptions, then develops faulty premises, and based on these faulty premises, makes unsuccessful decisions.

<<In fact, if you really are interested you can visit in February for the annual meeting,

>I'd be more interested if the past press release on the $ 2.5 mil in sales had actually been from the large company that was expected. I'll probably listen to any conference calls, however.

The expectations were from FTEL investors, never from management.

<<I guess 2.5 million is something for you to sneeze at, when your head as stuffy as you make it sound. I suppose the companies you invest in start with multi million dollars, or is it billions in startup investment.>>

>Was the $ 2.5 mil in sales more a sale or purchase for a distribution agreement or something like that? I didn't think it was a pure sale as one might have hoped.

Note: This was taken fgrom the press release of October 16, 1997. It is easily accessible from the FTEL site. As I write this I am becoming increasingly upset with myself for spending any time showing you a different way of thinking. Last time - I promise.
Franklin Telecom and the unnamed customer have agreed to form a partnership to share in the ownership and revenue of the
network of Data/Voice System. Franklin's customer has agreed to purchase the initial units, to be delivered according to an
agreed upon schedule over the next 6 months, at a cost of $2.5M.

<<Evaluation units were sent out beginning at the end of November. It takes a while for a company to evaluate a unit, especially year end when the holidays intervene. Not only do they have to evaluate the hardware and software, they also have to prepare their business plan to see how to implement the new technology. while for a company to evaluate a unit, especially year end when the holidays intervene. Not only do they have to evaluate the hardware and software, they also have to prepare their business plan to see how to implement the new technology. Consequently, we still wait, but not much longer.>>

VS, the sales process means a company needs to to projections, forcasting and approaches to implementing the hardware and software. For example, FTEL had a meeting scheduled with a MAJOR company today to discuss evaluation and purchase agreements. I would think that if the company decided to further evaluate the DVS it would be at least 3 -4 months before a final decision is made(JMO). Consequently, being that the end of November was when evaluation unit were sent out I would expect we will get orders sometime in March or April. In fact, I was told that the feedback has been very good. 'Good' was not, however, elaborated on.

>Can you quantify "not much longer"? I've asked Ralleigh to do that.

Raleigh is not responsible to do your DD. We would all appreciate you doing some of your own DD and accurately reporting it. Call and ask the Alan in the sales dept. 1-800-FRANKLN (note, no 'i')

VS, I've had enough of this. Become a valuable contributor to this thread. Do DD, report accurately and stop being such a pain in the ass.
