Ramsey, happy to see YOU think this psycho ward is back to normal but if that John Poppycock guy reads the last 50 posts as I just did, we're all in BIG trouble. Maurice must have gotten into a really potent batch of the home brew cooking sherry--the man's gone homophobically orthogonal[TM] on us and may never return. The qpup's gone into, and come back out of, his dog house 4 times in as many posts, and I can't figure out if you're short, long, or neutral on the Q.
Most disturbingly, normally mild mannered Jim Frost has lost it (we can only hope temporarily) and accused poor Surfer Mike of tossing a compliment or two Lester's way. Last but not least, some guy is ranting about asymtotes and I've looked everywhere on my VCR and can't even find the button.
The Q gets hammered because Merrill Lynch doesn't like ADCT and TLAB (what the hell, you seen one telephone, you seen 'em all) notwithstanding that the TLAB pops sales and earnings up a nifty 30% or so after the bell.
Some really cool new dudes on this thread--caught the metaphor of "blimps like so many ethereal (sp!) whales"--very nice indeed. Don't know about y'all, but our office fax machine is breeding Clinton jokes like the proverbial bunny. The one about the Oral Office would get me a lifetime exclusion from SI, but damn, it's almost worth it.
If you guys have any cajones and a very black sense of humor, go see "Wag The Dog"--guaranteed to end the "life imitates art-art imitates life" argument once and for all.
Thanks again Ramsey for your SEA Thing work--will reserve my comments till the inmates on the Q thread have had their Thorazine for a few days. Regards, Mike Doyle
