Alchemy is a philosophy of looking for the magic bullet, a cure-all, a panacea. I mean that in a positive way. Alchemists are full of hope. They dream of solving problems with one cure, one substance or one philosophy

You are confused. Alchemy is a process of operating out of ignorance, submitting to be guided by that ignorance in structuring beliefs, and in seeking answers that "have to" exist... because you want them to... inspite of that being impossible.

The optimism you note might be positive you could work with... but the expression of it in alchemy is a disaster... exactly as it has proven to be in the obvious fraud in modern medicine... that has them ignoring solutions to the problems that already exist... in order to try, instead, to find that silver bullet you extol, that solves the problem less well... but in a way that is far more profitable.

That's neither "scientific" nor "alchemy"... ? It's just a fraud fostered by suppression of free market functions.
