The odds of the "the market event" or TEOTWAWKI being something NOT a rapidly destabilizing event ?

I think it should give pause that most of the people responsible for "fixing it"... apparently don't have a clue ?

Among the few with a clue... some apparently have malevolent intent ?

Perhaps I should pause there to mention what it is I'm talking about... the virus, the market event, other changes, or the shifts in the global real politic that are inevitable in response to the other changes ?

The virus, obviously, was and still is a rapidly destabilizing event... The health issues not the only element in which change was inevitably going to occur... but it is one in which the change we have was never inevitable in the most obvious sense.

Of course it has been ridiculous to have "whistled past the grave yard" on all of those things that are now obvious to everyone... that should have been addressed a long time ago... and should not have been allowed to happen.

Bubblenomics clearly one element on the list... as "globalism"... because the excuse is "we never knew that bubbles were bad... or that adopting the inherent fragility of mercantilism was a bad idea" ? The brittleness of centrally directed anything... is on full display in the general dysfunction of the entire global economy now... certainly in the virus response... the virus itself still only one unnecessary byproduct of wrongly enabling "communist capitalism"... because, similarly, "we never knew that national socialism was a bad idea" ? Nazi's are OK, it turns out.... as long as they work on the cheap and don't bugger on about Jews ? And, of course, it seems the prior century was also an insufficient education in relation to "the benefits of eugenics"... as self appointed "concerned individuals" seek to take control and direct the global future... without thinking there's any reason they shouldn't ?

Noe of it would pass muster as a plot for a Bond film... but, unfortunately truth is stranger than fiction ?

I note, in particular... that while China pointlessly tries to shift the blame for the virus away from the CCP... even the denial and the blame shifting exercise themselves are a tacit admission of guilt... while a rational observer might wonder... who gave these idiots the keys to the kingdom ?

China seems oddly stuck between domestic expectations... assuming everyone should and will accept their denials with bent heads: "if they know what's good for them", and a much different global reality... assuming everyone outside the borders will similarly just "naturally" accept China's dissembling ? That's not going to happen.

The wild swings in China's approach... make the contrasts particularly glaring.

In health, though, while the problems have an obvious origin in China, and while China's political leadership of those health related systems clearly failed them and us... there's no shortage of disconnects elsewhere... as the medical-industrial complex outside of China has also proven itself incapable of telling the truth... even about the most obvious things like "masks won't protect you, so send us your masks" ? The WHO has no excuse for existing... and there are issues of liability to address... but the CDC blindly parroting their idiocy isn't the reason we bother to have a CDC ?

When wagering on future changes in water levels, I'd not bet against the tide. My guess is that there's quite a lot of flotsam that's about to be cleared by the flood tide that's happening now...

The flows we have enabled... exist for reasons. They are not immutable laws of nature... but a result of out choices. We can change our choices... and should when obvious error is exposed... as is already happening... or we can have our choices changed for us by the consequences of change we ignore... as is also already happening.

As is true in any recognition event... as is true in the market now... change inevitably has already been set in motion, has already occurred, long before the recognition event... when reality of the difficulty being addressed is finally made an item of general awareness ? The conditions precedent... established long ago... determine outcomes with or without that awareness... but are empowered only when a change is underway... and then the tides will prove what's a sand castle and what's not...

The market bubble is not the only delusion that is going to be popping...

But, check you some bollies pinching ?
