Fubho, I had an "exchange" with a TDS troll on Facebook who regularly posts anti-Trump nonsense. He pointed out how Trump vastly overestimated the number of potential deaths due to the coronavirus in America. He claimed that Trump did that so that when the actual numbers turn out to be far lower, Trump can take credit for "reducing" the numbers. Yet just a week ago, he was defending the mayor of San Jose for overestimating the number of potential deaths here in Santa Clara County. His rationale was that lying is OK as long as it scares people into doing the right thing and staying home. When I pointed out his blatant double-standard, he kept dodging the issue and trying to turn the argument back onto Trump, until finally he just let loose and admitted the following: - Trump is a racist and rapist. - It's OK for mayor of San Jose to lie because he is anti-Trump. - Trump could cure cancer and he'd still hate him. - I'm too dense to understand that it's all about Trump. I kid you not, he said all of the above verbatim. Bottom line is that no matter what Trump does, whether he overestimates or underestimates the potential death toll, he's going to be hated by the left and by the media. And that hatred is completely and utterly irrational. Tenchusatsu
