Hotels in California won't take normal reservations prior to June 1, 2020. Reservations prior to that date will not be honored unless you have authorization to travel and stay there. One way to be authorized that stay at a hotel in California is to be a "front line healthcare worker who has been exposed to Covid-19 or has an active Covid-19 infection". California has extended our quarantine from May 1 until May 15, but I expect a further extension until June 1. Hong Kong is currently experiencing a second pandemic wave, larger than their initial outbreak which was ended by quarantine.
