"People aren't going to sit (at) home forever"

Yes, indeed.

And I believe one has to also remember that we live in a world of Risks. We take cognizance of those risks and we decide if we are prepared to take any one of them or not.

There's a risk in taking a flight from A to B. But the risk of a modern airliner coming down is extremely low so we take it.
There's a risk in taking a train or the tube. There's been accidents in that regard. But once again the risk is low, so we take it.
There's a risk in travelling in our motor car or being involved in the Traffic "Environment". In the USA there are about 12 traffic fatalities per 100,000 inhabitants, but one takes that risk .........

But then, from the latest COVID-19 statistics, we see that there are 0.00006 fatalities per head of population. That's 6 deaths per 100,000, which is ~50% of Traffic Fatalities !! ..... But we are not prepared to take that lower risk ?? .... So virtually the whole country has to stay at home, even though VERY FEW people who contract the Virus actually die from it ........
