Why aren't you supporting Donald Trump?
I support President Trump dutifully as a servicemember. He is my Commander in Chief and I will do whatever I can to lawfully serve him with honor due to him having been elected to that position.
As a citizen of the United States of America, I do not support what he stands for as president or as a human being. He has given me no indication that he cares about the American people, especially through his handling of this pandemic. His refusal to take this pandemic seriously did lead to delays in reaction by many people that looked to him for leadership. By him deliberately contradicting experts and his advisors, he forced many Americans to be confused as to who to follow or what actions were appropriate.
His divisive nature, name-calling, and deliberate attacks on others show he has little to no tact or respect for others.
His refusal to accept responsibllity for ANYTHING unless it makes him look or appear great shows that he has no understanding of how to be a leader. A truly great leader understands that the person ultimately responsible for success and failure is the one in the position of leader. Due to the lack of respect and deliberate attacks on people that do not agree with him, he demonstrates that he does not want to be the leader of the entire nation and instead only of those that agree or applaud him.
His incessant desire for self-promotion and praise from others shows dangerous narcissistic tendencies. Humility is one of the most revered and respected aspect of any true leader as it authenticates a person's humanity. To display no humility or acknowledge no or few mistakes reduces the ability of one's followers to trust in the leader to learn lessons or improve. To constantly boast, especially when it is quite often unwarranted like in President Trump’s case, has the complete opposite effect on the majority of followers from what was intended by it.
Like I said, he's my president and commander in chief, so I will support him in those positions while he is in them. However, I will not vote for him as I don't see any reason he could possibly deserve the position |
