The call was sponsored by Jeffries...clearly was designed for their brokers to begin selling the debentures...they had the CEO, CFO and V.P. and it could not have been a more positive report. They went to great lengths to describe all that they are doing around the world - spoke about a commitment to do more in the US. Two things caught my attention. First, their response to questions regarding Cuba. The question was raised about Cuba's phone system being 50 years behind. The CEO corrected and said "100 years". He affirmed the fact that the company expected to be at the forefront of rebuilding that infrastructure when Castro is gone. (Incidentally, I am told he will not last to the end of 1998 due to health problems). Secondly, the CEO affirmed that this stock is severely undervalued. I think that if you buy it right now, it is a slam dunk to get 55 or higher, perhaps by summer. Short term, I am looking for 35-40. MS
