Yes, these have been around for quite a while. They used to cost more like $100. $30 seems reasonable. It's really a simple product.

Where it differs from Zip is that it's too technical for most computer users. Iomega focuses on the mass consumer, who just wants something convenient to save him time and make things easier.

If you're technical, looking at the device for yourself, don't need the speed of SCSI or IDE, and don't need to share removables with others, this could be a good alternative. Otherwise, just get a Zip. ;)
