Yes. The Chinese did unravel the genome of the virus and shared it... at the specific direction of Xi Jinping... if only when it became clear there was greater advantage for China in getting more people working on it. The genome has also been independently verified... and that's what I was addressing in my posts back in February... was the focus of those efforts, and the need to publish rapidly when findings were in hand re the nature and origins of the particular loci coding for those apparently exogenous proteins... that give the virus its "special features"...

The article I linked... does a pretty good job being specific about it. It probably explains why chloroquine would be likely to be effective... in addressing and countering at least one of the viruses known skill sets... in attaching to and penetrating cells, and in exploiting the protected spaces inside the cells to reproduce.

Worth asking that question... to find out if what we're guessing at is true about this virus and those specific bits of code in the right addresses...

Knowing the virus has that weakness... enables better counters. But is isn't a complete solution, yet...

It still leaves two unknown sequences that have to be explained... and it seems now that the energy being applied in that effort in back in February has "moved on"... without publishing more. Or, as was true in those two prior instances... I might have just missed it.

I'll poke at and then ask a few questions.
