My story for CAT:

Dec 97:"Caterpillar hired more than 1,000 new professional employees during 1997 -- and
plans to increase that number in the months ahead".
Temporary/permanent staff ration decreasing
Growth rate in line with industry, and P/E much below.
No insider trading recently.
Balance sheet look clean. D/E high but OK.
Pb: WS penalized the capital good industry ? But growth should be
boosted by recent acquisition.
