Normally I read whole article. got to 1/2/3 and derailed on following:

I note that #1 is very confusing to author. He cannot decide which mask to wear which day? Which train to ride? Mayor and Governor cannot pick up phone and speak with Mini-Fauci? Locals cannot figure out social distancing when facing throat punch from grandma?

I note that #2 is description that water is wet and demand destruction in food service sector, etc may cause restaurants to need bailout. It seems 2 Trillion for storing extra tables and shifting Uber over to deliver food is too much among the eat out crowd?

I note that #3: is anxiety over if we do if we don't rehash of #1, as if re-opening can't be un-reopened, authorities can't come in and stop us from buying booze again etc?

Is not clear, the source of magic giant red blob,,,,, if vigilant public wears masks. It seems most would be vigilant, except maybe zombie land Ohio as mentioned previously.

I see another trend emerging--- similar to disinformation mask game: They have not made the test kits, the masks, and all of the essentials to re-open. They are biding time.

The mask situation was a lot of hocus pocus,,, and now they are being watched.

I note: bloomberg.com

"The Aberdeen plant had already ramped up production of respirator masks in response to demand from first responders battling wildfires in Australia and contending with a volcano in the Philippines. Now, Rehder told his charges, Aberdeen would shift to “surge "...

If had to guess. June 1. is earliest they can get their shit sorted enough to have tests, supplies, disinfectant, standard operating procedures, and clear instructions. Now they are counting on people to do this on the fly. Rolling opening will work.

With some caveats:

NYC needs much more time. Disinfection regularly. More tests, more PPE, More of everything.

Open is 50% open: Not but distinctly recall visiting food service establishment here. Team thailand conveniently made dining room much more spacious by removing half of the tables. Do understand desire to serve at full capacity may make eat out more expensive. Or need to serve carry out. Close dining area layoff staff. it is not optimal. But for non-public establishment,,,, why cannot learn disinfectant, masks, etc?

We are not 1918.

Is also not clear why entire country needs shut down, when Thai country of 56 MM is open here and there. Is also not clear why no mention, massive hiring program of healthcare professionals to seek out and track CV clusters of infected. It seems a bit of hocus pocus. Very doomsday-ish on behalf of keep all safe printathon crowd if ask me. Clearly they did not hear from Ohio zombies yet, who are all in on re-open.

And one last consideration: If open,,, can always be closed. If open,,, and want to ensure safety of employees no need to house arrest. Just leave open for some not all. It makes no sense to house arrest all of america.
