I couldn't understand how "experts" missed record foreclosures prior to the Great Recession. Is it 20-20 hindsight? No. It's the same bull we see today. An entire country shut down and the US stock market hit record highs. Those were not the acts of sane people (or institutions). Did banking CEOs lie to investors prior to the collapse in 2007? They had to lie. They knew what they were doing was criminal and unsustainable. What about our hospitals, clinics, and doctors today? They didn't see the virus coming and order more ventilators and masks? I now understand why the Great Recession happened. I see it today. Yes, the country changed on gay marriage and I'm glad it did. But look at the damage caused by being idiots. Two economic and market collapses a little over a decade. We have to change. We can't afford to do this over and over. Other countries survived this virus with only a few deaths. They learned from their mistakes. We won't. We can't. There's something wrong with this country.
