Agreed. That's what the CDC is for and ostensibly what WHO is for. But we need to fix WHO and that means Tedros has to go. And we need to hold China accountable, because if we don't , they will continue to experiment with dangerous pathogens and this will not be the last pandemic to leak out from their labs. So this liberal thing of defending the Communists that I'm seeing from some on this thread is dangerous. Also, we absolutely do need to learn how to decide whether something is a potential pandemic or not and decide how to handle things like this without shutting down the economy. We've had 30K deaths so far and we're past the midpoint. That suggests we may have a total of 60K deaths. The average seasonal flu deaths per year are 55K. So that means COVID may turn out to be no more lethal than the average flu season. Are we going to start locking the economy down every year during flu season? We need to get a grip. I continue to say the numbers are telling us that we've overreacted and engaged in mass hysteria and created our own Greatest Depression even though it was not necessary. Shame on us.
