Yep. I've recently said this to my friends. We're all Socialists now, whether you like it or not. I've railed against the Fed for years. They are the single biggest factor that is destroying the price discovery mechanism (supply vs demand, risk vs reward) that is so important to the allocation of capital and capitalism itself. They have now become the central politburo of economic planning. The secondary root cause, of course, is a Congress and two parties who don't give two shits about fiscal or monetary responsibility. So we're all Socialists now. And most people know, Socialism is the slippery road to Communism and Dictatorship, as more and more people demand the government DO something and people rely more and more on the government, they give up more of their freedoms as a result, until finally there is no freedom nor capitalism left. We're on our way now and I don't see how it can be stopped.
