There's nothing wrong with consensus when it is backed up with facts, logic, and moral reasoning. When that is the case, people will naturally follow your lead.
Collectivists, however, will force themselves upon you whether you like it or not. They can never defend what they believe in, and instead resort to name-calling, appeals to authority, virtue-signaling, and loud shouting.
The funniest thing about The Sheeple is that each and every one of them thinks he or she is an independent thinker. I hear it all the time. "I can think for myself. YOU'RE the Sheeple here."
If you are confident in what you believe in, you don't have to keep reminding people that you can indeed think for yourself, because it would be self-evident in your arguments.
