Hey thread, has anyone here ever heard of a newsletter called "The Wall Street Underground"? A friend of mine gave me the Jan 98 issue, and I've never read more doom-and-gloom propaganda in my life. It lists no author or editor, but it does have a Minnesota address. Heck, if I were publishing bullshit like this, I wouldn't want my name on it either. It tells of how Chrysler was the first in a series of private corporations which were bailed out by the federal government; could someone name me the second? It also goes on to say that after the "crash of 87" how the federal government "gave" billions of dollars to all the major brokerage firms to stabalize the market; could someone name me one brokerage firm which recieved $1 from the federal government? These are just a couple of examples of the crap in this thing- it goes on and on. I sure hope my buddy didn't pay too much for this newsletter, because old newspapers work just fine for starting the fireplace, and their free! I doubt he'll be giving me any more newsletters either, because he also turned me on to this thread. If anyone has heard of this paper, I'd like to hear your take on it.
