| | | Yep, you are rightly pointing out what I've said for awhile. Rules are applied to conservative voices, but the liberal left says and does what they want with impunity. Most social media platforms are run by liberals, so this is why we see the bias. As I've said, it's not terrible on SI, but on Twitter and Youtube and Google in general, it is downright ridiculous the amount of bias against conservatives.
As to my conciliatory tone, I often do become conciliatory or engaging when people are civil towards me, even if they have very different opinions than mine. I usually become far more hostile to people who are vitriolic or show zero signs of intelligence, like Sylvester. I think most people are that way in real life. We want to engage with each other and establish a connection. People are malleable. Online, though, people can be far more rigid and ideological. It's the unfortunate thing that comes with anonymity. I try not to be that way, but don't always succeed. |
