Focus on Relationship Between Coronavirus Origins... Versus Coronavirus Protein FUNCTIONS.

This <.pdf file> is an article published in China... that has been presented by many as China presenting "an excuse" while looking for alternate explanations, and doing that as a deflection from Chinese responsibility...

On the origin and continuing evolution of SARS-CoV-2

The article clearly does exhibit the influence of "goal-seeking" in fostering particular perceptions. It clearly has a propaganda purpose.

However... what you take away from the article depends on HOW YOU READ IT.

If you understand that the virus WAS engineered... and could not be otherwise... then you will also understand both the motivations and drivers of those publishing articles denying that could be the case...

With that in mind... in this article and others like it... discard what they say that is based in nothing more than "directed opinion" or propaganda... but, even while reading it and seeking to dissect and understand that function... do not discard the rest...

Reading this article that way:

This article is NOT successful in claiming "this has to be natural and derived from Pangolins as a source"...

What it IS saying is that... HOWEVER IT WAS DERIVED... one of the spike protein sequences on the pandemic causing virus... has its origins in a Pangolin coronavirus protein sequence:

Although the specific route of transmission from natural reservoirs to humans remains unclear [5, 13], several studies have shown that pangolins may have provided a partial spike gene to SARS-CoV-2;
the critical functional sites in the spike protein of SAR-CoV-2 are nearly identical to one identified in a virus isolated from a pangolin [16-18].

Everything else in the article... is masking intended to enable publishing that one statement. Read that statement... and ignore the rest of the article as irrelevant in relation... and you will have optimized its value...

If you understand that in context... they are telling you they engineered this Pangolin derived virus gene into the new virus.

What they still aren't telling you... is why... what is the function of that particular sequence... ?
