And if the Democrats let women down and states make abortions illegal; they will not lose their progressive base in other states?

We would be willing to sacrifice women's rights in the south, meaning death from back alley abortions again as well as increased poverty and possibly Doctors in jail for murder?

And in this case a true slippery slope. The parental rights of rapists for example, we should concede that to states? Whats next? And also for gay rights. We all remember "women married and back in the kitchens and making babies" and we oldsters remember Anita Bryant.
