If I am correct that transportation demand and business demand for oil is not likely to return to former levels anytime soon, if ever, and given the cost of permanently shutting in an oil well, I would expect the oil glut to last a very long time. I suspect that there will be a lot of see through buildings in Houston as once again the industry goes through a dramatic downturn. Bargains to be had eventually. Of course, as Keynes correctly pointed out, in the long run we are all dead....
