Locogringo,
I heard one libtard researcher saying that just flattening the curve is stupid and worthless. All that does is delay catching the virus.
Flattening the curve has always been about buying time. Any sharp rise in infections will overwhelm health care facilities. People will get turned away, and there will be a higher death rate as a result. (A 50/50 survival rate after going into the ICU is still better than a 0% survival rate.)

Truth is, most of the world was caught unprepared for the coronavirus pandemic. Easy to say now, "Oh we should have done this and that and whatever" or "Oh the lockdown didn't help, and we're killing more people due to the economy than we're saving," but "coulda shoulda woulda" only helps if you're a retroactive trader like Sly.
