Wharfie, the funny thing about the current economic recession is that, if one was inevitable because of Trump's oh-so-reckless policies, then this one couldn't have come at a better moment.

Because Trump can rightly say that the recession wasn't hit fault. Moreover, the recession will do wonders in resetting the economy and clearing out the excesses that resulted from the Trump economic expansion.

Then when Trump gets re-elected in November of 2020, we can be reasonably sure that another recession won't occur on his watch, because the current one already took care of what "needed" to be taken care of (notice the quotes).
