I all ready made the trade on the inital run up. I would like to see some weakness before I would short the stock. That weakness might be some downward pressure after lunch time or a drying up of volumn today. I think that one of the advantages and disadvantages of a stock like MSTG is that it become a momentum play when it breaks out like this. So initally you can make money as new investors flood into the stock, but once it reaches that peak point that it pulls off of you have to both realize the point and get out of the stock to preserve your gain. On the pull back is where I am going to create my longer run position.

This is the way that I typically play these breakout situations. I just had good luck with a stock called Durban Roodeport Deep which I think shows my investment strategy for small cap breakouts. You can clearly see a top in the stock yesterday a 3 3/4 after a run up from the low 2's of last week, combined with increasing volumn. After running up on increasing volunm it began to sell off a lunch yesterday. On the first hint of weakness I left the stock, which finally closed below 3 1/4.

I could be completely wrong about MSTG but I own the stock at a lower price than it is today, and will be getting out on weakness. I of course realize that this is not the best investment stradegy for those investors who are long term players, because I own several long term stocks for which this is constantly happening to me.

Good luck on any trade you make,
if you decide to short the stock I would be very interested to know when and what made you chose your entry point.
Brent
