(1) problem, the balance sheet destruction at individual through corporates on up to layers of government all across the planet is both longterm-fundamental and short-term-trading relevant. dunno. back in 1998 the HK government just bought the index shares to stabilise the market, and post-crisis organised a basket ETF of the acquired shares, offered shares to the market at 5% discount, and got out of the positions. Capitalism at times needs saving, I guess, but the methods are arguable, I reckon. (2) problem, also, the income destruction at individual through corporates on up to layers of government all across the planet is both longterm-fundamental and short-term-trading relevant. Need infrastructure spending. Faster better than slower. Communism at times work. Suspect much of Bernie's preferred policies are up for discussion even as he himself is no longer contending to be chief-decider.
