This is a depressing film released for Earth Day. But colossally important to consider. It turns on more house lights for sure - maybe a few knew it all, already.

One could conclude that we humans are pretty much ALL part of the problem, especially since the industrial revolution changed the balance for the planet.

Clearly everyone can be captured by special interests as well as blindness due to ignorance.

One criticism - I'm not sure that the blame of capitalism and profit motives could not also be applied to socialist societies - its more about human greed and short-term thinking.

We have exhausted the earth. It could be seen a justification for martyrdom suicide, or genocide. Or, even a justification of deadly pandemic. This is the depressing part. I refuse to go there - life is worth fighting for; but we do have to change our systems and combat our greed regardless of class and beliefs AND WE NEED TO THINK GLOBALLY, not me vs. you and us vs. them.

The scene of the orangutan at the end is deeply haunting in its multiple meanings.

These are my first reactions. I'll let it sink in. If you see it, let's share our thoughts.
