Common sense tells me that, right now, if someone dies due to the above, it's likely due to the coronavirus.
Yes, it is possible that the death was due to other factors that led to said problems. The annual death rate of Americans due to pneumonia is 50,000. That averages out to 4200 per month. Maybe double that during flu season months.
Maybe later we can run some studies, which will lead to a downward revision of the death toll. But that's not a luxury we have right now, especially given that 44,000 Americans already died due to the coronavirus in the space of two months.
That's a hell of a lot of deaths. You want to tell me that the vast majority of them are not COVID-19 related?
