You assume a lot and have many unmaverick like opinions. I have no agenda. I was posting here many years before the decline began in March. I know you fancy yourself a Maverick, but you are the furthest thing from one.

What I am doing is questioning the foundation of good dividend investing for retirement. I think a strong balance sheet and bring in a uptrend are the basis of selecting strong dividend stocks for retirement. Otherwise, one is asking for trouble in troubled times when bear markets come.

As for PRU, it was just meant as an example of a dividend stock that can unravel and give up years of gains in a bear market.

Clearly, you don't have anything positive to say or contribute so you would like to shoot the messenger in a very unmaverick like way.

It is all about dialogue and a learning experience so grow up and act like a maverick for change.
