So, no, there is no excess mortality this year. Sort of like p hacking. Also notice the tricky use of zero point suppression in the graph presented.

Looking at the site, it is clear that NY and NJ have gone for the no lock down quick crisis. Most other states don't show any spike. Certainly not compared to 2017.
