I called Santa Claus "an old Buzzard" when I was 3 or 4. My dad said, to me , "You don't want to see Santa Claus the old buzzard, do you? Legend has it that my Grandfather would run outside on Christmas eve telling the kids (my dad) that Santa Claus was trespassing and he was going to fill him full of buck shot. The kids were screaming "No, No don't shoot Santy Claus" so I figured my dad just took it out on me.

PS they were dirt poor and lived on a farm in SE Missouri.
