A lawyer for Sean Hannity sent a “lengthy and bellicose demand letter” to the New York Times and three columnists demanding that the newspaper pull down a series of stories for what the lawyer described as “mischaracterizing” Hannity’s coverage of the coronavirus pandemic on his Fox News show, the Daily Beastreports.

Multiple columnists said Hannity had downplayed the virus early on as no real threat.

However, the Times responded that there was “no basis” to retract any of the pieces.
