Thanks for the info. I don't like that Gates,
but Window NT seems to be in the right
track.

What I heard is that the contract signed by
DEC and INTC on Alpha was not good for
DEC in the long term since the Alpha did
not have the production priority in the fab
(anybody please correct me if I am wrong
or misculate some extra info I did not know).

Anyway, the way CPQ "build" computer now
is very smart, it shifts lots of risk to several
Taiwanese companies which build machines
for it. I wonder whether they are going to do
similar thing on the DEC machine.
