Non combat. He was an advisor. And it was 19 years - so you lie even when you twist the truth. We did not engage in combat until 1959. Then after that, democrat JFK escalated it, then democrat LBJ escalated further. The "Vietnam War" wasn't called a war. Military action for the U.S. started in 1959 and ended for good in 1975. I can't believe you people don't know that.
