A cold-case DNA match led to that arrest, and his bail was set at $2.5M. Of course, this is California, so he now has a "Get Out of Jail Free (with an ankle monitor)" card. This despite Newsom promising that "violent offenders, sex offenders and those serving time for domestic violence" would not be released as part of the coronavirus mitigation efforts.
