My basis in my decades-old AAPL, adding in the upcoming 82 cent dividend is -$20.29.

Every $1.04 share I bought has paid me $21.33 in dividends.

What?

The dividend is going up to $0.82???

You know what that means!

We'll have to pay more taxes!!!

Darn that Apple whose market cap is the GDP of some small countries - maybe now with the virus, several small countries.

They're not as thoughtful and considerate as many other stocks

who have recently suspended their dividend!

(This is the tankwatch board...)

Okay, Mr. taxman, I'll have to pony up more come 2021 April 15.
