Re: Sinning a little..............................

This morning I came across this note from Charles Rotblut, VP at
American Association of Individual Investors (AAII), an organization of
which I've been a member for going on 30 years. In it he confesses his
sins of breaking his systematic rebalancing rule book in recent times.

I found it refreshing to find I've not been alone in committing a few
minor sins against AIM in recent times. Mid March did offer us some
outstanding buying prices on our favorite holdings even if we do see a
"W" shaped bottom going forward. I broke my own 30 sequential buy
rule on a number of AIM engines as the discounts deepened. There, I've
confessed!

I still have Cash Reserves left for most of my holdings even if I had to
ask Peter to lend Paul a few dollars along the way. Further, in the last
week or so a couple of the AIM engines actually threw off a bit of cash
as prices rebounded from AIM's latest round of buying.

I liked his comment about a festive dessert being appropriate at times
and not harmful to one's overall diet plan - if not done daily!!!
I feel so much better now that I've visited the AIM Confessional. I feel
even better knowing a Rebalancer like Mr. Rotblut has paid penance for
his sins while successfully navigated a seemingly treacherous market
meltdown.

In the mean time it has been comforting to watch the annunciator panel
of my portfolio slowly turn off alarms and go quiet. There are still a
couple lights flashing but am back on track using the 30 Day Rule (until
such time I yet again sin!).

Best wishes,
OAG Tom
