I have observed again and again that whenever the bears expect the market to break because of some obvious event, it never obliges -- either dipping just a bit or rallying like it is doing today. My conclusion -- when the bear begins for real, it will occur FOR NO APPARENT REASON.

If the reason is obvious, buy the dip. But when we start to descend rapidly for no apparent reason, get the hell out of the way.
