The problems with these predictions is they become self-fulfilling prophesies. There is NO ONE who knows for sure what may happen at the turn of the century. I have heard there is a 20% chance of some computer malfunctions. Many of these doomsayers have a vested interest in a Y2K solution, so the "problem" is magnified.
