The prolonged QT interval nonsense was an excuse to not approve its use, not a reason.

The hundreds of thousands of Americans taking Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) for their RA and Psoriatic arthritis are not monitored in any way. To not approve its use in this circumstance, especially after it was shown to be effective against CV in 2005, IMHO just shows how corrupt the system is.

They're tossing out a regimen that could save thousands of lives, and costs virtually nothing, in order to potentially save a few from side effects. Ridiculous.
