Right. I've been following it carefully since it was first used in China and agree with everything you say. It's a tragedy, right along with the failure of the US to secure PPE, rapid testing, and many other things.

At the same time, one of the drugs proven side effects is arrhythmia. It can't be ignored. I have that issue in both chambers and suspect I've experienced at least two events of fibrillation in the last two months. As a doc, you know where that puts me in terms of high risk. My assumption is that the pneumonia part of the illness would trigger cardiac arrest.

Therefore, I'm hoping fervently that I might be one who would receive the treatment early after infection and monitored by a doc or nurse knowledgeable in cardiology.
