| | | Yes, they are. They are getting clobbered in multiple ways. First, not being allowed to stay open. Second, having to carry non-productive workers. Third, paying for benefits including unemployment benefits for those workers that were furloughed or laid off. It will be a miracle if we don't have 30% of small businesses disappear as a result of this self-inflicted disaster.
The US acted like a Communist Dictatorship in closing businesses and using police forces as Gestapo enforcers. And now our economy is paying the price. Historians will ask whether this was worth it, to throw away 250 years of history and freedom to act like a Communist Regime.
I say emphatically it was not worth it. 33 million out of work and thrust into poverty. Many millions will die due to lack of care, since COVID patients were prioritized over cancer, stroke, and other critical ailments. So we saved tens of thousands at the cost of millions of people.
This wasn't just stupid. It was immoral, corrupt, and totalitarian. Communism is on display. Everyone needs to understand that what you are seeing now is exactly what the liberals and Democrats in this country want for the US. They love the shutdown and want it to continue. They love Communism and are defending China. They love Socialism and this is what it looks like. A vote for Democrats is a vote for Socialism, Communism, and Gestapo Police actions.
