I think someone needs to emerge with a strong currency policy that creates some real competition for the dollar and then TBF is going to scream higher for years, but right now there doesn't seem to be any willing contenders. The Chinese may just need to essentially flip a yuan policy switch to cause all hell to break loose in the western currencies, but people have been predicting that for a long time and it hasn't happened.

Meanwhile, without some competition stepping up, I don't see a reason that we can't follow others into the abyss with negative interest rate.

The chart is so tempting though...interest rate "appear" to really have only one way to go from here. Then again people will probably thinking the same when oil approached 0. <g/ng>
